Micro J Partners with HireAbility to Bring Online Resume Parsing

Pasadena, California (October, 31 2006), Micro J announced the beginning of a partnership that will bring resume parsing functionality to a new level in Micro J’s next generation of recruiting and staffing software. Micro J has entered into a strategic partnership with HireAbility® to provide the functionality of the Alex Resume Parser within the new ‘First Place’ software currently in development by Micro J and scheduled for release in early 2007.

The new parser features highly efficient attributes and utilizes a natural language artificial intelligence (AI) engine, and compatibility with .NET web services. It also features accurate worldwide address parsing, and accurate complex resume parsing. Data parsed to the end-users’ Micro J database will include education and experience along with the standard candidate contact information and other details. The new built-in Micro J parser for First Place can utilize resumes in virtually any text based document format. Emailed resumes, Word, PDF, job board formats, HTML or text files. The parser will be a value added proposition only for Micro J software users who adopt the next generation of Micro J applicant tracking and staffing software.

Micro J’s PcHunter and Tempus Fugit programs will not be integrated with the Alex parser. PcHunter & Tempus Fugit version 8.6 software do have a self contained set of tools called Autoentry, and Autocoder and a programmable keyword thesaurus. Used in combination these tools allow for automatic record creation based on a .txt format file only. However the Autoentry feature is not an artificial intelligence engine. “We are very please to bring a true AI engine to the next generation of Micro J’s Windows native software, the First Place Beta program. HireAbility® has demonstrated a high capacity for accurate parsing and excellent results have been obtained with the parser in ‘First Place’ Beta 1. The new parser has gone beyond expectation in accuracy, versatility and functionality. It even supports multi language parsing for our Canadian, and European customers who may opt to deploy ‘First Place’ in the near future.” states Product Manager, Bret Kinkele. “Customers really need a one click record creation and complete parsing solution that offers versatility of resume format, and a high level of accuracy so they can focus on what they do best; reaching out on the phone to clients and candidates, not doing data entry!“

The First Place parser option will be a value added feature and it does require internet access.
