Our client is a privately owned producer of fresh food products. The company has been in operation for more than 10 years and has annual sales of over $25M.
Responsibilities
1) Oversee quality control, lab and packaging
2) Lead development and implementation of quality programs
3) Audit execution of quality programs like allergen, sanitation and self-audits
4) Organize investigations to diagnose quality problems throughout the production process
5) Ensure that records and documentation are maintained
6) Work as a plant contact person for customer inquiries, concerns and audits
7) Investigate new technologies/applications to improve processes
8) Enhance quality/food safety programs
9) Improve MICS and HACCP score compliance
10) Manage technical staff and execute business plan objectives
11) Ensure that all internal and external audits are completed above acceptable levels
12) Work within framework of approved procedures, policies, processes and budgets
13) Implement and manage all quality initiatives
Requirements
1) Degree (4 year)/good experience in the food industry
2) 8+ years of experience
3) Superb knowledge of HACCP, GMP, USDA, regulatory compliance, process control, safety, etc.
4) Willingness to work in Alaska
