Qualifications / Skills Required
1) Degree (4 year) preferred
2) Experience as a Senior HR Executive (Director/VP level) in a food and beverage industrial setting
3) Food manufacturing experience a plus along with warehouse and fleet operations
4) Proven track record in introducing corporate-wide HR programs and initiatives across multiple facilities/divisions
5) Experience in labor relations both in negotiations and NLRB elections
6) Experience in serving in a lead role for management in dealings with insurance brokers and consultants in the design and communication of employee group insurance plans
7) Experience in 401K plan design and administration
8) Experience in EEO activities including complaint resolution and non-judicial resolution procedures
9) Expertise in HR staff supervision as well as employment and recruiting at executive levels
10) Proactive HR professional with the ability to execute strategic change as opposed to simply maintaining status quo
Partial Job Description
1) Support the company's Safety Initiative with demonstrated enthusiasm, innovation and leadership
2) Manage the workers' compensation claims activity in support of the Operations Department Safety Manager
3) Work closely with the President and other Vice Presidents to support the annual business plan
4) Lead the company's employee relations efforts with the goal of providing a quality work experience for all employees and thus maintaining union-free status
5) Learn the business of each operating unit and understand their culture and HR needs of each
6) Recognize the operations management of the various locations as clients
7) Keep abreast of employee relations issues in the company, develop appropriate remedies and provide effective assistance toward solutions
