Responsibilities
1) Oversee the activities involved in ensuring the quality of all products produced in a shift (five-day per week operation)
2) Ensure that company service, quality, cost, and safety as well as people objectives are met
3) Oversee the development, implementation and monitoring of programs such as HACCP, lot traceability, packaging/finished goods, supplier certification and microbiological testing
4) Measure quality/safety of ingredients for WIP and finished product, process control and adherence to specifications including control for the environment
5) Evaluate products and releasing them for shipping
6) Supervise all the quality control technicians
7) Provide specifications on the all lines (finishing and baking)
8) Monitor product quality and documentation
9) Ensure product complies with specifications on all three shifts
10) Monitor the organization of the retained samples (library) program
11) Follow up with implemented programs and ensure compliance with GMPs by all employees and other personnel in the production facility
12) Aid in the administration of environmental monitoring programs to evaluate the efficacy of sanitation methods
13) Monitor employee practices to ensure a pest-free environment
14) Develop and implement new methods, procedures and systems to improve quality performance
15) Supervise operations to comply with all applicable safety laws and regulation, as well as company safety policies, procedures and standards
16) Maintain a fair and professional work environment
17) Focus on business objectives and also balance quality of work-life factors for employees
18) Develop and maintain training and development programs and support key performance goals for the company
19) Provide a satisfying and rewarding work environment for employees
20) Manage operations to maintain a superior rating from annual AIB inspections
Requirements
1) BS/BA in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Food Science/Technology, etc,
2) 2+ years of experience in a similar role with the consumer manufacturing industry/related field along with previous supervisory experience
3) Knowledge of HACCP
4) Exceptional communication and technical writing skills
