Our client is a privately owned manufacturer of meat products. The company has been in operation for more than 25 years and employs over 100 people.
Responsibilities
1) Oversee the whole production of the business
2) Manage production to achieve maximum efficiency
3) Utilize staff and equipment in a manner which will not jeopardize safety or quality
4) Manage day-to-day operations of the Production Department
5) Monitor production inputs and outputs to minimize product loss
6) Ensure all product orders are produced on time
7) Liaise with external customers and interact with the Quality Assurance Department, Maintenance Department, etc.
8) Lead operational excellence within a plant environment
Requirements
1) Degree (4 year) in Food Engineering or related field
2) Minimum 10 years of production-based experience in the food industry (processed meats preferred)
3) Unionized leadership experience
4) Understanding of meat processing and packaging operations
5) Excellent computer and analytical skills
