Qualifications / Skills Required
1) Bachelor's degree
2) Minimum of 7 years of experience in foodservice distribution and institutional food sales
3) Experience in dry food sales with an emphasis on dried dairy products (preferred)
4) Highly-organized, self-directed problem solver with ability to handle multiple goals and initiatives
3) Proven track record in growing foodservice and institutional foods or similar food divisions at or beyond established performance goals
4) Proven track record in managing customer service and product management
5) Willingness to travel (up to 50%)
Partial Job Description
1) Lead and build company's foodservice, institutional foods and private label business
2) Use technical, organizational and customer knowledge
3) Expand distribution on existing products, develop new products and capture new markets and customer channels
4) Meet established sales goals and drive performance
5) Locate new opportunities for the company with both existing and new customers
6) Determine market strategies and goals for each product and service
7) Manage budgeting, cost control and annual sales planning for foodservice and institutional foods
8) Develop and implement strategic sales plans that are aligned with corporate goals and objectives
9) Provide leadership to inside customer support personnel
10) Maintain up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments that effect target markets
11) Establish and maintain industry contacts that lead to sales
12) Be responsive to the customers' need
13) Follow through on all aspects of request, both written and verbal
14) Manage and communicate sales information and product change both internally and externally
15) Perform pricing and competitive analysis regularly by customer channel and recommend strategies to improve market position, improve quality and reduce costs
16) Develop and maintain product database with product specifications and catalog copy for dealer cooperative advertising and catalogs programs
17) Establish and maintain relationships with vendors to help facilitate timely completion of projects
18) Provide data and sales forecasts to materials for production scheduling and material requirement
