My client is a small high frequency proprietary trading firm who is looking to add to its successful team. The company currently consists of 6 people who currently all work on the firm’s highly profitable machine learning based high frequency cash equity strategies.
The firm was officially founded a short while ago and consists of 6 people now. The team has come a long way in a short period of time. Currently, the firm has developed the vast majority of its trading platform / research engine and has been trading very successfully its first suite of machine learning based high frequency cash equity strategies.
As part of this team, the successful candidate will work in unison with the existing members on all aspects of the trading. This will range from the initial research to the trading and risk management of the strategies. The team is consistently looking to add to its bank of strategies and ultimately the successful candidate will be expected to add vale to the group. As such this is an ideal position for someone who not only has the quantitative skills but someone who has the vision and market knowledge to open new doors. As the group is still new – people who join the firm now can expect to profit greatly as the firm expands.
A strong education is essential and a PhD in a quantitative subject is imperative. The candidate should have been exposed to huge amount of data and had machine learning experience. Due to the nature of the role and the size of the group the successful candidate must have some exposure to working on high frequency strategies. A high competency in C++ is necessary.
