Our client is a privately owned manufacturer of baked goods. The company has been in operation for more than 10 years and has annual sales of over $1B.
Responsibilities
1) Supervise all production activities of the plant during the shift
2) Provide guidance and training to hourly workforce to ensure that safety, production, QA and supply chain goals are met
3) Meet schedule commitments on a timely basis by producing sufficient finished products to meet sales requirements within quality and cost goals
4) Resolve (proactively) employee-disciplinary issues/concerns with assistance from Manager/HR
5) Plan, organize and implement QA function on the assigned shift
6) Support the plant's GMP
7) Ensure timely and accurate shipments of orders, receipt of materials and production reporting
8) Follow all sanitation, communication, safety, quality and employee-relations programs
9) Prepare and submit all required reports on a timely basis
10) Oversee plant maintenance, QC and warehousing to obtain optimum efficiency of operations and maximize profits
11) Fix production problems
Requirements
1) 3+ years of experience along with background in bakery
2) Knowledge in safety, GMPs and budgeting
3) Working knowledge of MS Office and Excel
4) Ability to speak Spanish a plus
