My client is an International Bank who is seeking an Emerging Markets Credit Trader.
My client is looking to take on someone to sit in their London office and add value to the EM desk. They are looking for someone who can come in and start trading from day 1 and as such a demonstrable track record in successful trading is necessary.
They see this role as two-fold: initially there are certain areas they need the successful candidate to be competent in: market making in Corporate and Sovereign Bonds, Credit Default Swaps with a concentration on Latin America with an experience in both prop and flow businesses. However they also see this an opportunity for the desk to grow and take on a new direction.
As such they are keeping an open mind as to the experience of the candidate as well as the other dimensions that could be brought to the table. Their priority is for someone who can begin trading immediately and as such are interested in seeing the profitability of the candidate by product category – however if someone is able to add a completely new element to the desk whilst also having experience in the above areas, my clients would be very interested in having a conversation.
