Responsibilities
1) Maintain/improve cost of operations on all production and distribution processes
2) Set benchmarks and lead the team through steps to achieve them
3) Maintain/improve productivity standards
4) Ensure that production schedules and results are communicated to the entire plant staff
5) Handle all aspects of the processing operation including budgeting, planning, directing as well as operational and financial forecasting
6) Ensure safe, efficient and quality operation
7) Provide leadership, direction as well as training to employees to accomplish company goals and objectives
8) Coordinate manufacturing activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers
9) Obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machinery as well as equipment
10) Identify improvement opportunities and lead change
11) Provide input to the development of product strategy along with research and development of new and emerging products
12) Participate in management activities to support the company's long-term plans
Requirements
1) Degree (4 year) preferred
2) Minimum 7 years of experience along with operations/plant management experience in a food manufacturing facility
3) Knowledge of Six Sigma
4) Ability to interface with customers in addition to managing production
