Responsibilities
1) Maintain/improve cost of operations on all production processes
2) Set benchmarks and lead team through steps to achieve them
3) Maintain/improve productivity standards
4) Ensure that all production schedules and results are communicated to the entire plant staff
5) Handle all aspects of production, warehousing and packaging
6) Ensure safe, efficient and quality operation
7) Handle all aspects of the processing operation including budgeting, planning, etc
8) Implement cost effective systems, operating expenditures and labor
9) Provide leadership, direction and training to employees, to accomplish company goals and objectives
10) Coordinate manufacturing activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers
11) Obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machinery and equipment
12) Identify improvement opportunities and lead change
13) Provide input to the development of product strategy, new and emerging products
14) Participate in management activities to support the company’s long term plans
Requirements
1) Degree (4 year) preferred
2) 8+ years of experience including 5 + years of hands-on experience in the baking industry
3) Ability to execute with clear direction and let go
4) Ability to ensure transition from hand work to automation to hand work finishing
