Our client is a privately owned manufacturer of food and beverage products. The company has been in operation for more than 25 years and has over $25M in annual sales.
Responsibilities
1) Provide formulation technology training to the R&D Team
2) Complete product development projects within the required time lines and specifications
3) Provide 'scale up' support to ensure a successful transition to product commercialization
4) Oversee ongoing project deliverable, technical support, written reports, meeting attendance, status updates, etc.
5) Solicit information regarding future product requirements with customers and share data with Sales and Marketing to collectively address future opportunities
6) Collaborate with and provide technical leadership and/or support to Operations, Manufacturing, Customer Service and QA in new product development
7) Present innovative concepts and products for internal/external accounts on an ongoing basis
8) Assess ongoing business-related R&D initiatives with customers, take appropriate action to implement agreed-upon objectives and communicate with internal business partners
9) Lead R&D relationship with multiple accounts as assigned and handle ongoing project deliverables, technical support, written reports, meeting attendance, status updates, etc.
10) Maintain all project-related data
Requirements
1) Degree (4 year) in Food Science/Chemistry
2) 5+ years of experience with expertise in mixing ingredients, spices, marinades, formulation and R&D
3) In-depth knowledge of HACCP and CGMP
