Our client is a privately owned manufacturer of dairy products. The company has been in operation for more than 25 years and has annual sales of over $10M.
Responsibilities
1) Obtain samples from in-process and packaging lines for inspection and testing
2) Generate reports for QA/QC compliance
3) Perform chemical and bacteriological tests on raw, in-process and packaged products
4) Generate formulas for processing department and standardizing when out of compliance
5) Notify management of issues in a timely manner
6) Perform tests to keep lab in compliance with lab requirements
7) Support SQF by completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner
Requirements
1) Certificate in Refrigeration (A class)
2) Minimum 3 years of experience in QC and food safety
3) Experience in servicing coolers and chillers
4) Willingness to work unusual hours as needed to rebuild plant
5) Team player with strong science background
6) Non-unionized candidate preferred
