Our client is a privately owned food manufacturing company. They have been in operation for more than 10 years and have over 1000 employees.
Qualifications / Skills Required
1) Degree (4 year) in Food Science (University of Wisconsin (Madison), Illinois (Champaign), California (Berkley), New York (Campbell) a plus)
2) Minimum 1 - 3 years of technical lab/pilot experience in process engineering or chemistry (R&D experience in chromatography a plus) and/or of technical sales
3) Experience as a Chemical Engineer an asset (Biologist, Biochemist or Chemist also preferred)
4) Experience in a food processing industry (dairy, sugar, corn refining, bio energy, fermentation, organic acids, and enzymes) a plus
5) Experience in working in an international environment
6) Knowledge of membrane separations, chromatography and/or ion exchange an asset
7) Background in process engineering/chemistry a plus
8) Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
9) Proficient in MS Office
10) Fluency in French and/or Spanish a plus
11) Well-organized individual with ability to work in a matrix organization
Partial Job Description
1) Increase new sales activity in North America
2) Promote the company's technology to existing and potential customers in North America
3) Discuss technical proposals with customers and obtain orders from North
American customers
4) Ensure and develop new businesses in the markets of non-therapeutic
Applications like fermentation, natural sweeteners, sugars, biochemicals and bionutraceuticals, fruit juices, specialty sugars, functional ingredients and others
5) Assist in similar activities in the biopharmaceutical and pharmaceutical industries
