Responsibilities
1) Handle processing payroll and all related payroll journal entries, reports and inquiries
2) Process weekly and semi-monthly payroll for approximately 250 union and non-union employees
3) Address payroll issues related to employee benefits for company and Rare Breed employees
4) Set-up special deductions, such as garnishments, on an as-needed basis
5) Process all payroll/benefits related journal entries
6) Prepare monthly and quarterly payroll reports for internal reporting
7) Resolve payroll related inquiries from employees
8) Complete periodic audits of payroll-related benefit plans
9) Assist in bi-annual and annual audit
10) Conduct monthly payroll expense fluctuation analysis
11) Manage federal and state payroll tax inquiries and tax reports
12) Conduct payment, reconciliation and resolution of $401K contributions
13) Maintain current payroll tax documentation by state
14) Manage special projects/requests as needed
15) Maintain balance sheet account reconciliations for assigned payroll accounts
Requirements
1) BS in Accounting, Finance/Business a plus
2) Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred
3) ADP system experience
4) Payroll experience with union employees
5) Prior experience in handling payroll for 200+ union employees
