Our client is a privately owned pet food manufacturer. The company has been in operation for more than 25 years and employs over 50 people.
Responsibilities
1) Oversee quality control, lab and packaging
2) Lead development/implementation of quality programs
3) Audit execution of quality programs like allergen, sanitation and perform self-audits
4) Organize investigations to diagnose quality problems throughout the production process
5) Ensure that records/documentation are maintained
6) Work as a plant contact person for customer inquiries/concerns/audits
7) Investigate new technologies/applications to improve processes
8) Enhance quality/food safety programs
9) Improve ISO and HACCP score compliance
10) Manage technical staff and execute business plan objectives
11) Ensure that all internal/external audits are completed above acceptable levels
12) Work within the framework of approved procedures/policies, processes and budgets
13) Implement/manage all quality initiatives
Requirements
1) Degree (4 year) Food Science or related field
2) Minimum 5 years of experience in GMP, HACCP
3) Experience in taking company to the next ISO level
4) Knowledge of extrusion process a plus
5) Strong leadership skills and the ability to work in a team
6) Mature individual with great drive and vision
