Our client is a privately owned manufacturer of pet food. The company has been in operation for more than 10 years and has annual sales of over $25M.
Responsibilities
1) Maintain/improve cost of operations on all production and distribution processes
2) Ensure safe, efficient and quality operation
3) Handle all aspects of the processing operation including budgeting, planning, directing and operational and financial forecasting
4) Implement cost-effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures and labor
5) Provide input to the development of product strategy and research and development of new and emerging products
6) Participate in management activities to support the company’s long-term plans
7) Work in season during the day shift and manage various ad hoc projects
Requirements
1) Degree (4 year) preferred
2) 7+ years of hands-on experience along with meat processing background
3) Superb knowledge of inventory, production and maintenance
4) Excellent computer skills
