The "Qualified" RN performs the primary function of a professional nurse leader in assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating nursing care provided to patients.
This RN shall oversee and guide nursing employees that are under their supervision.
The "Qualified" RN is also responsible for interacting with hospital staff and/or ancillary departments regarding patient care, concerns, and conflicts by identifying and assisting in the resolutions.
The RN is responsible and accountable for maintaining performance skills.
The selected RN must be willing to routinely work every other weekend, holidays, overtime, and/or on an on-call/call-back status in their assigned shift.
Other Assignments, Responsibilities and Duties not mentioned will apply.
EDUCATION / LICENSURE:
1. Currently licensed as an RN in the State of TX, (or may have a temporary license through a COMPACT state. Personnel must receive a permanent license within 6 months in the State of TX).
2. Must have successfully completed the critical care course or have five years ICU experience.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have and maintain current BCLS certification.
- Familiar with basic nursing performance standards for all age groups as outlined in the TX Nurse Practice Act.
- Membership in related professional organization preferred.
- Must posess current ACLS or obtain ACLS within 6 months from date of hire. Once obtained, must remain current.
Candidate must also posess an Associate's Degree from an accredited School of Nursing.
