HireAbility.com Launches New Era in Recruiter Social Networking New business model will change the way staffing professionals think about online networking.
HireAbility.com ®,
the leader in recruiter networking technologies, today announced two significant
changes affecting its recruiter network. Effective immediately, HireAbility is expanding the features
and availability of its Talent Trader networking platform by adding several web
2.0 technologies and opening membership access to the recruiting industry with a
new basic membership option offered at no charge.
The
company also announced a revolutionary change in its pricing model.
According to Andrew Stock, Director of Sales and Marketing "We are
leading the industry by becoming the first full-service recruiting network to
eliminate transactional fees charged to staffing agencies and independent
recruiters who collaborate through the network to generate placements."
"We
are essentially changing the way recruiters and staffing professionals
network," said Craig Silverman, Executive Vice President of Sales and
Marketing at HireAbility.com. "Our member surveys indicated a true need for a
recruiter network that allows members to share candidate and job order
information in a fully-secure manner without charging a fee for members who use
the data to generate split placements. We
are excited to be the first to offer recruiters and the staffing industry
exactly what they've been requesting." By eliminating the brokerage fees
charged to its clients from split placement transactions, HireAbility.com
expects to see explosive growth in its recruiter network. To read the rest of this monumental release, click here. |
Shaking the Paradigm: The end of split placement fees by Andrew Stock Dir., Sales & Marketing at HireAbility.com
One of the major components of HireAbility's new business model involves the discontinuation of the fees charged to staffing firms and independent recruiters when they split a placement with another member of the network. In the world of recruiting networks, this is a major shift due to its departure from the standard paradigm of how recruiting networks are supposed to generate revenue.
When you look at the options available to staffing professionals, you'll find two common models that make up the 'recruiter network' industry. The first is the closed model; open only to members willing to pay a monthly fee for access to membership in addition to a percentage of placement fees generated; frequently called a 'brokerage charge'. The other common business model is the open model; usually a website made up of chat rooms or forums with one chat room dedicated to users wishing to 'split' deals with other users.
The closed model of networking usually offers candidate and job sharing tools to promote split placements, but the services come at a high price. Not only will you spend $100 or more per month for the ability to access the tools, but you'll also pay a percentage of each and every 'split placement' you close make with another staffing firm or recruiter.
The open model of networking is the opposite of this. There are no membership fees or per-placement brokerage charges, but in return they offer no other benefits or tools to assist members in generating 'split' placements with other users. If you want to see what job openings other members are willing to split, you have to read through pages of individual chat room messages to find something. Free is nice, but if I can't find what I need, the price (or lack thereof) is irrelevant.

Ask Danny! by Danny Cahill I have a candidate who fits the clients criteria to a "T". Unfortuntaely, another recruiter submitted his resume without the candidates permission. The candidate as informed the the client of this, and the client has said, "first come, first serve." There has been no communications between the other recruiter an the candidate. Do I have any ground to fight this, or was all my time and effort for nothing? I might add, the candidate wants this position badly, and the client told him not to worry about any of this, let her handle it. The candidate goes to a third-party candidate interview on Friday.
