Topic: Three Hiring Secrets Every Recruiter Must Know

Presenter: Lou Adler, President, The Adler Group

Lou Adler returns to the HireAbility Best Practices Webinar series to discuss his Three Hiring Secrets Every Recruiter Must Know. These have never been revealed in public before, except to his Recruiter Boot Camp Online participants. We don’t want to reveal too much, but here are some highlights:

  1. What you must say when you call a passive candidate the first time, and what you absolutely must not say.
  2. The most important thing you must do to get your hiring manager clients to stop making dumb hiring mistakes.
  3. How to convince your candidates to take less compensation and still close more deals.
  4. BONUS: for TPRs only – the secret of booking more business.

Shhh...
At the end of the webinar, all participants will receive a special limited-time promotional code so they can register for the upcoming Extreme Recruiting Live event at a discounted rate. (Look for more news about this event in the near future.)

Hello!

The new year is in full swing and 2006 already looks to be shaping up as an exciting time for recruiters.

Here at HireAbility, we are working closely with Lou Adler and his team at Adler Concepts to present a day of training following the ERE Conference in San Diego on March 17. We are also partnering with LinkedIn, Bill Vick, & Happy About Publishing on the release of the new book titled LinkedIn for Recruiting, and with Danny Cahill and AccordingtoDanny.com, as well. Another fun project we are working on, in addition to our ongoing series of Best Practices webinars, is our presentation, along with Recruiting.com, of a bi- weekly podcast series that will be published on both websites.

Stay tuned for updates and invitations to all of the special events and offerings we have in the works. With hundreds of experienced recruiters already working together via the HireAbility Recruiting Network we have a lot to share with you.

Count on HireAbility to be working hard to make your recruiting easier.

Happy About…
LinkedIn for Recruiting

by Bill Vick with Des Walsh

You've probably heard of an online service called LinkedIn. You may already be a LinkedIn user. If not, LinkedIn is one of the largest free networking resources available to recruiting professionals and candidates today. Simply put, it allows you to easily and quickly build a network of trusted contacts for your business. And more trusted contacts, of course, means a greater pool of potential candidates and clients.

But LinkedIn is also so much more, and there lies the challenge: How do you leverage this fantastic resource for maximum effectiveness and profits?

You see, it's not always straightforward, even for experienced LinkedIn users. That's why Bill Vick along with business coach Des Walsh decided to interview more than 40 recruitment industry leaders, big billers, authors, and expert LinkedIn users. They picked their brains and got them to reveal their most closely-guarded secrets for success. What they heard changed the way they look at using LinkedIn for recruiting and my guess is that it will change yours too.

Press Release:
Recruiting.com Teams with HireAbility to Deliver Podcast Series

January 25, 2006 -- Recruiting.com and HireAbility are collaborating to publish a new podcast every two weeks and build a repository of fresh content, on both sites. The two companies found that the recruiting industry is booming and many people with deep knowledge are prepared to share their innovative ideas and wisdom with the recruiting community. Recruiters will be able to access the podcasts on topics that interest them, on-demand, whenever they need it.

The first podcast, published on both sites on Jan 25, 2006, features Craig Silverman, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for HireAbility, talking about HireAbility and the benefits of the Recruiting Network that his members enjoy. The next podcast will feature Lou Adler, who is a very well known and respected member of the recruiting community, interviewed by Silverman. The schedule for upcoming podcasts will be available soon on both websites.

Jason Davis, Founder of Recruiting.com remarked, "Podcasts are a great way to deliver interesting and helpful information. Recruiting.com has a large and fast-growing community of recruiters who are eager to make more placements, ultimately leading to greater client satisfaction. I am excited to be working with Craig Silverman, who never tires in his quest to deliver first class information and services to his top-shelf group of recruiters who use the HireAbility system."

"HireAbility is excited about presenting this ongoing series of podcasts with Recruiting.com," enthused Silverman. Safely back from the rigors of eccentric British family life and the overindulgences of the Holiday season, Miss J heaves a sigh of relief as she escapes into the safe environs of her mail bag.

Dear Miss J,

2005 is over and it was a fairly good one business- wise, but I want 2006 to be better. My objectives are that I want to make loads of placements and heaps (huge heaps) of money. So what should I do? I am ready to go. No pressure, Miss J, but just what should I do? What resolutions should I have?

Betsy from Bugscuffle, Tennessee

Dear Betsy,

You know, it’s up to you what your resolutions should be, but to make it easier, let’s work out how to make sure that they get done.

New Year’s Resolutions – we all make them. Whether we keep them or not is another matter. OK let’s be blunt. At the beginning of every new year there is a mad 5 weeks at the gym getting sweaty, pulling muscles we never knew we had, and deciding that Spandex is definitely not a fabric that should strain against our holiday-fed flesh. What were you thinking of when you bought that cerise pink tank top!? Yessirree, I am talking to you!

So what about your recruitment resolutions? What do you want out of 2006? What challenges do you want to overcome? (continued…)
