Tick tock is the general English language onomatopoeia for the sound that an analog clock makes. For many it is also the “sound track” to their lives. It is an irony of our modern lives that while innovative technology saves us time, we use that time to do more and more things, and so our lives are more fast-paced and hectic than ever. For some, this hectic lifestyle may not be ideal.
As much as we enjoy personifying ALEX (our world-class CV/resume & job order parser) in reality “he” is just a complex piece of software running on a number of clustered servers. ALEX does not get tired or burnt-out, he simply continues working 24 hours a day, seven days a week. ALEX parses documents every tick and each tock of that clock!
We have recently made some tweaks to our document converter and scheduling algorithms, which has increased the overall speed of the process for your parsing by a very significant amount. What this means for you is that in the end you will be using less ticks and tocks on your parsing. What you do with that time is up to you!
This brings me to my last point. Today is November 1st so the HR Technology expos in Chicago was 22 days ago (depending on how you count it). I simply cannot believe how fast that time has gone by! We had a fantastic time and had the opportunity to meet many, many great people and the organizations they represented. Having now been on both sides of the booth I can affirm how much of a whirlwind the whole event can be for both exhibitors and attendees.
